….But on #MySideOfTheFence, knowing that I had to work on Labor Day wasn’t so bad thanks to an invite to “Day Life’s Boat Party” on Saturday.  We took off on the “Cabana” from the Marina at FDR and East 23rd street around 2 pm and sailed along the East River (past an outdoor park complete with basketball courts I HAVE to find somewhere in Brooklyn because I’m like a young Kobe Bryant out there) down around the Statue of Liberty, back to where we started – the events in between and thereafter made for a great weekend!

Lots of laughs with the love of your life and your best friends can’t be contained in photos (even though I tried), but the point of this post is to remind everyone who is visiting on My Side of the Fence that life is precious and too, too short.  Always stop and take a breathe, appreciate life with your loved ones, stop and smell the flowers on your side of the fence.  It’s always a refreshing reminder when you can take a moment from this busy thing called life and enjoy the very one we live.  Any good moments for you this past Labor Day weekend?  Share them with me here or via Twitter – @MrMDGreen
