This time last year I became a newlywed the happiest man on earth, embarking on the journey of marriage. A journey that neither I or my wife have never been on, but an eternal trip that the both of us are excited to take together. Around this time my wife and were enjoying some fine cuisine under the Costa Rican sun. What better way to celebrate one year into our journey than a trip to a place that she’s never been before and that I haven’t been to since I was about 8 or 9 years old; Sunny Southern California!
They say a picture is worth a thousand words — by that definition, the pics that I could share on #MySideOfTheFence would easily make this put this post into the HUNDREDS of thousands in terms of word count. It was a wonderful, memorable time. Great food, great views and the perfect companion to share it all with (I even got to get a couple of shots up in Chinatown)! While the below pics won’t do the whole trip justice, the snapshots serve as a moment in time of a 7 day memory that will last forevermore! In LA I HIGHLY recommend you have a car to get around.. I rented one but not one of these bad boys (Corvette$$$$) but I DID use some American Muscle! See below..
Looking like it’s straight out of a brochure.. My favorite car EVER (Especially with me being from Detroit) the Ford Mustang.. This thing was everything I dreamed of as a kid and I’ll definitely have one in my driveway one day. In the background is the apartment my wife and I stayed in, in Culver City
We took a day trip to Chinatown in LA where my wife wanted to look at some beauty products and ended up seeing a historic landmark.. One of the restaurants where Rush Hour was filmed! #JunTao
Since it was my wife’s first time in Cali, we took a day trip to Anaheim for her 1st time at Disneyland! We had an AMAZING time and were there from noon to night!
The Santa Monica Pier was a beautiful site from afar and a lot of fun up close!
Naturally, we spent a lot of time on the beach and while the Mrs. was laid out in the sand I was running up and down the beach front basketball courts at Santa Monica and Venice Beach! #Buckets
Drove through Pasadena and took a moment to stop and smell the roses at the Rose Bowl, amazing backdrop!
The return flight! The perfect Anniversary and I look forward to celebrating many, many more with my wife! Ohh the places we’ll go….
